Through difficult times with Ayurveda

I am ashamed!

For what is currently (not) happening in our country.

For a lack of compassion. For a lack of equanimity. For a lack of respect. For a lack of harmony.

How could it come to this in the land of poets and thinkers?

A look at India - the motherland of Ayurveda - helps: how much of the great Vedic high culture, practised philosophy and authentic spirituality can still be seen on today's subcontinent? Very little.

And what about us? Where have the humanist ideals of Goethe, Schiller and Humboldt, to which we proudly refer, gone?

Humanitas means humanity. A life in mutual respect for our dignity. Without violence (physical, linguistic and mental). Freedom of expression as the basis for dialogue. We seem to be further away from this than ever before. Instead, we have been experiencing increasing selfishness, extremism, disharmony, irritability, impatience and anger for months.

With this increasing attitude, we will neither put a pandemic behind us as quickly as possible nor find our own balance. It is divisive. It causes a lot of suffering. It is like a never-ending storm on the high seas.

In difficult times like these, we need an anchor in the middle of the storm:

  • Physical and mental Health
  • Inner support and Stability
  • Compass for Orientation

Over 2,000 years ago, Ayurveda gave us a timeless and location-independent manual for developing these three qualities: Health. Stability. Orientation.

Health comes from living in harmony with the laws of nature.

Our mindset directs. Our lifestyle has a causal effect. Breathing, nutrition, sleep, personal hygiene and exercise are essential pillars. If we tune into the rhythm of nature, a fantastic concert is created.

Stability arises through stillness, clarity and discernment.

Daily retreat, introspection, contemplation and meditation are more important than ever in these times. Clarity and discernment do not arise in a storm, but in silence. With them, we can withstand all storms.

Orientation comes from values, guiding principles, our philosophy of life.

Why am I here? What do I want my life to stand for? Where do I want to go? What will I do when and how? Our philosophy of life is not an abstract object of thought, but an applied basic attitude, T.U.N. - day and night.

I have been teaching and passing on this unique instruction manual for more health, stability and orientation in my academy since 1998.

Let the timeless knowledge of Ayurveda become your anchor in the storm!
