Medical history. Examination. Therapy concept.
Practical training for therapists
Next training from 26-28.6.26
Develop trust. Reach people.
The foundation of successful counselling and therapy is our trusting relationship. Your client needs trust a) in the Ayurveda system and the methods you offer; b) in you as a trustworthy person and therapist with values, experience and expertise; and c) in their own resources for healing and maintaining health (sense of coherence).
One key to this is our authentic communication. All levels are important: WHAT we say, HOW we say it and what body language accompanies what we say. Take your language and voice to a new level with this practical training.
Understanding people holistically
Understanding the constitution is the basis of all preventive and curative procedures in Ayurveda. The deepest level of Ayurvedic diagnostics is the constitutional analysis.
Constitutions are not determined, but patiently and attentively explored - professionally, in a structured and empathetic manner. Various tools are used for this: anamnesis, inspection, palpation, interview and self-awareness.
The methods of analysis learnt can be put into practice immediately. Away from the superficial type test >>> towards in-depth analysis!
First the diagnosis. Then the therapy.
Ayurvedic diagnostics includes the verbal anamnesis and sensory examination of the patient using eight examination procedures. The most important procedures include pulse palpation, tongue inspection and facial analysis, which you will practise intensively in small groups under supervision, evaluate and compare with modern laboratory and image diagnostics.
Five factors (Panchanidana) form the basis for analysing examination results: Understanding causes, recognising prodromes, interpreting the clinical picture, penetrating pathogenesis and drawing conclusions from efficacy.
Your practical training at a glance
This practical training is part of our Training to become an AYUMED® Health Consultant and is aimed at therapists in their own practice or a health centre as well as candidates for the therapeutic healing professions. There are only limited places available for external participants who have already completed their Ayurveda training, so please enquire early.
Prerequisite for participation is a solid foundation of Ayurvedic basics (Sutrasthana) and basic theoretical knowledge of Ayurvedic diagnostics (Nidana) and examination methods (Pariksha). If you are unsure whether you fulfil the criteria, book a Appointment at the personal study counselling service with Ralph.
If you have completed your previous Ayurveda training at an external educational institution, please send us your certificate in advance. After checking your qualification, we will let you know within three days whether participation is possible.
With this practical training you will gain confidence in the Ayurvedic anamnesis and examination of patients and develop a system of interpretation and professional case conceptualisation in 10 teaching units with 80% of pure practice.
Your ability to make a differentiated diagnosis and to develop an individual therapy concept based on this clearly distinguishes you from purely symptomatic, exclusively dosha-orientated or constitutional type-related approaches.

Participants' comments
It is a real pleasure to listen to you and to feel how much passion, joy and profound knowledge you have brought us closer to the world of diagnostics. The differentiated approach and the many practical exercises have given me a much better understanding of constitutional theory in general and my own „nature“.
Thank you very much for this!
