Dear colleague,

Do you long for a salutogenetic, holistically orientated system in which people and their health are more in focus than the mere diagnosis and treatment of specific pathologies?

Then this training is suitable for you. It will enable you to integrate Ayurveda as integrative medicine into your practice, clinic or centre after fifteen months. For a more human medicine.

Back to my Roots in India - 25 years ago

In January 2000, I was the only therapist from the DACH region to take part in the Advanced Training for Ayurveda Bhishak (Ayurveda doctor) in Rishikesh. This certificate course has been formative to this day.

My teachers, including P.V. Sharma, N.C. Sharma, R.H. Singh, P.V. Tewari and K.C. Chunekar, authorised me to teach Ayurveda medicine in the West while I was still there. This is where our current training programme originated.

Your training at a glance

5 in 1   Unique Ayurveda synergy

Ayurveda training kitchen: cook and enjoy according to indications
1- Training in Ayurvedic nutritional medicine

„When diet is wrong, medicine is of no use.
When diet is correct, medicine is of no need.“
Charaka Samhita

Ayurveda is a humoral medicine and attaches great importance to natural, freshly cooked food from organic farming. Eight factors are responsible for digestibility and nutritional value. You will learn how to categorise food according to Ayurveda and how to prepare meals to suit the client.

2- Training in Ayurvedic phytotherapy

The Ayurvedic taxonomy of medicinal plants and medicines is unique and, together with the knowledge of active ingredients from modern phytopharmacology, forms a powerful unit.

In over 2000 years, Ayurveda has built up a considerable body of knowledge based on billions of patient cases, some of them with the most serious illnesses, which goes far beyond Western tea science. A must for every naturopathic practice!

Daily exercise and experiencing nature: Ayurveda lifestyle
3- Training in Ayurvedic behavioural medicine

Our lifestyle has a decisive influence on health and illness, happiness and suffering, as well as healthy longevity.

Ayurveda lifestyle interventions are used preventively (Svasthavrtta) and curatively (Viharachikitsa). The basis for this is the constitution (Prakriti), biological rhythms and the current state of health. During your training, you will learn how to accompany behavioural therapy measures.

4- Training in Ayurvedic psychology

In Ayurvedic medicine, there is no artificial separation of body and mind. Every physical illness has a somatopsychic connection and every mental disorder expresses itself psychosomatically through the body, all the senses and our behaviour.

In your training we study the nature of our mind, its imprints through Sattva/Rajas/Tamas, all mental faculties and their importance for salutogenesis as well as the connection to the self.

Practical training in anamnesis and therapeutic dialogue
Case conceptualisation: from diagnosis to treatment plan
5- Training in Ayurveda diagnostics and therapy

First the diagnosis - then the holistic therapy. Ayurvedic diagnostics is unique: it focuses on complaints and contextualises them systemically, taking into account the body, senses and mind.

In your training, you will first learn all the elements of Ayurvedic diagnostics in a structured way: from the anamnesis to the examination of the illness and the client to the professional evaluation. We then practise everything „hands-on“ in the practical training.

I have known Ralph for over 25 years now. He teaches with full power and from the bottom of his heart, highly professionally, absolutely authentically and offers very structured lessons. He shows a fascinating clarity on all levels and brings with him an immeasurable wealth of experience from his many years of practice and training. Whenever there is an opportunity to attend an individual seminar or a complete training programme with him: Just do it!

It was with humility, respect and pride that I received the results of my final examination to become an Ayurveda Health Consultant today. What a great feeling to have taken this step. All this was/is possible because Corina and Ralph Steuernagel offer very well-founded learning content and a great atmosphere with great expertise, in-depth specialist knowledge and passion, enormous flexibility and the best technical equipment! Whether in face-to-face or online seminars. Perhaps for some of us who were not born into the digital age, this is a type of learning and exchange that we approach with scepticism. However, the implementation is perfect and, in addition to cost and time savings, harbours huge potential for new positive experiences, development and flexibility. I can only recommend the AYUMED AKADEMIE and encourage other students to take a final exam as well. The three months of exam preparation were a very special time. Diving deep once again with all my strength and focus has strengthened my understanding enormously. I look forward to being able to accompany clients on their health journey in the future!

The training to become an Ayurveda Health Consultant is now over and I am deeply touched by what the time of the training has done to me... I am a different person, my thoughts are sorted and have more clarity, I am stabilised and at the same time deeply grateful. And I am keen to pass on this knowledge and this feeling to many people. Without exception, I would recommend everyone not only to attend individual seminars at AYUMED, but also to take the final exam. Of course it was exhausting, I was insecure and at times desperate... But there is no substitute for the feeling of passing the exam. It gives you so much strength, confidence and courage for your future work, it's just a wonderful feeling. It was only through preparing for the exam that I discovered so many new things for myself and only then did I understand some of them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, dear Ralph, for your knowledge, for your being, for your love of Ayurveda! My heartfelt recommendation!

I completed the Ayurveda Health Consultant training programme at AYUMED and am absolutely thrilled. Never before has a subject fascinated and impressed me again and again over such a long period of time - thanks to Ralph, who teaches and lives Ayurveda with his many years of experience, expertise and vitality. Both the content of the training and Ralph's didactics made it easy for me to be fully attentive and focussed from start to finish. Ralph motivates, inspires and impresses with his enormous clarity. Through the training I got to know myself better, expanded my philosophical mindset and know more about my own body, my needs and my values. I have learnt to accept and love myself more and have set out to live a life according to my own ideas. As I would like to work with Ayurvedic medicine and felt the need to take another intensive look at the content, I decided to take the final exam. I am very grateful for this time and don't think it's over yet...

I completed the Ayurveda Health Consultant training programme at the AYUMED Academy. The theory is taught online and supplemented by practical seminars on site. I really liked this concept and was particularly surprised by the smooth realisation of the online seminars. The relevant platforms were well chosen and personal dialogue was also made possible. The training programme helped me to develop not only on a professional but also on a personal level and I see this time as a great enrichment. The learning phase and exam preparation that followed the seminars was very challenging for me and at the same time an important step for me to consolidate the content and to penetrate it even more deeply. This phase also helped me to feel more confident about being able to apply what I had learnt in the future.

My Ayurveda journey with Ralph, Corina and the AYUMED Academy began in April 2020 and at that time I didn't know where my path would take me. Today I passed the final exam to become an Ayurveda Health Consultant. It was an incredibly exciting, interesting journey full of valuable self-awareness. Much of the content was taught online, which didn't detract from the sense of community. The compactly prepared seminar content was very varied, and Western thinking was also incorporated time and again. Ralph and Corina as well as the great guest lecturers are all wonderful and conveyed the knowledge in a very impressive way. The exam preparation took me through all the important elements of the training again. This time was incredibly intensive and consolidated my knowledge enormously and ultimately ensured that I passed the final exam. I can't imagine a better Ayurveda training programme. THANK YOU again for this great time!

The training has definitely enriched my life - both in my own personal development and in my life planning to be able to apply this valuable knowledge and accompany other people in their lives. 1.5 years ago it was unthinkable for me to do a training course online, but thanks to Ralph's really inspiring and 'fiery' way of teaching, 8 hours on the PC are hardly any different from face-to-face lessons. I am very enthusiastic about this form of learning and appreciate the great advantages: especially during the three-month, very intensive examination phase, we were able to meet weekly - or more often - on a platform to learn and exchange ideas, and valuable relationships were formed in the process. It is undeniably nice to then meet 'in real life' in the practical seminar, but the mix is really a successful concept and the comfort of studying at home is also interesting both ecologically and economically. I can encourage anyone who has doubts to jump over their own shadow!

I would like to say THANK YOU for the professional and comprehensive training as an Ayurveda Health Consultant. Corina and Ralph put their heart and soul into their work and are very well organised. The time flew by and both the presentation and the organisation of the course content set standards!

Ralph Steuernagel succeeds in a unique way in combining his great talent as a speaker and his extensive knowledge with an infectious passion and dedication to Ayurveda. Ralph gives the complex subject matter a clear structure through his models, some of which he has developed himself, without ignoring the depth and wisdom of Ayurveda. Now, during the follow-up of the teaching units, I am often amazed at how much of the content I have already internalised. Without exaggeration, this is the best training I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. I'm really looking forward to continuing my studies!

If you have high standards of quality and expertise and value flexibility, the AYUMED Academy is the right place for you. I myself did not embark on the Ayurveda journey with Ralph and Corina Steuernagel in a completely „young“ way and was not hearing some of the content for the first time. The great thing is that Ralph automatically addresses or clarifies some of my questions in his well thought-out and perfectly structured lectures and I experience one AHA effect after another. This experience not only shows how deeply Ralph penetrates the content - but also his specific feel for the sticking points and for what really matters in terms of understanding and application in practice. As an online participant from abroad, I can only say: absolutely great! I can see the lecturers and the presentation in top quality and follow the explanations. Ralph's lectures are full of essential and exciting content and are therefore really intensive and gripping. Even thousands of kilometres away, I am truly hanging on his every word. However, it's not just about the „passive“ absorption of the subject matter; great importance is also attached to active discussion and reproduction. I can only happily say THANK YOU for all the love and commitment that can be found in every detail around the academy and look forward to my further studies.

I appreciate Ralph's vision, which goes far beyond the Ayurveda system. He is able to look at Ayurveda from the outside as well as the inside and to incorporate elements of conventional medicine, psychology, NLP, business, Buddhism, etc. He is an extraordinary teacher. His razor-sharp presence during the seminars makes him an extraordinary teacher. I can easily follow his lessons for many hours a day and memorise them through his skilful teaching and placement technique. My Ayurveda path has only really begun with Ralph. 6/5 stars!

The successful combination of in-depth knowledge, noticeably long and intensive practical and clinical experience, clear structure and didactics make Ralph Steuernagel's teaching so special. He manages to convey the holistic nature of Ayurveda in every seminar. He combines the "best" of western medicine and psychology. Ralph inspires and enthuses us to acquire knowledge, make it tangible and deepen it. He motivates us again and again through theory and practice to integrate what we have learnt into our professional and private lives. The reason to return again and again!

Frequently asked questions

No, your participation in our test is voluntary.
But we recommend it for five reasons:

  • It represents proof of competence.
  • It gives you more confidence and charisma.
  • It generates respect and trust among clients.
  • It could be required by the authorities.
  • It is relevant for potential employers.

You can leave your decision for or against taking the exam open until the last module.

The fee for the written and oral examination with preparation & certification for the Ayurveda Medical Consultant (AYUMED) is € 250.00 plus VAT and will be paid by bank transfer upon registration.

The cancellation conditions are staggered according to our general terms and conditions: up to 6 weeks in advance 10%, up to 30 days 50% and thereafter 100%.

The written exam (240 minutes) takes place online via our Learning Management System (LMS). For the oral exam (45 minutes), we meet in the meeting room with three people: you as the examinee - Ralph as the examiner - Corina as the examiner.

While the written exam focuses on basic Ayurvedic concepts, in the oral exam we present you with a practical case that you can analyse and design therapeutically using the tools you have learnt. This is therefore an inspiring „dialogue between experts“.

Your training cockpit is our Learning Management System (LMS) 24/7 at https://akademie.eurasiamed.de/.

The LMS is your central platform for managing all processes relating to your training. Here you will find

  • all video recordings of our livestreams,
  • Add-on videos to supplement our teaching content,
  • playful learning checks to review your learning goals,
  • Scripta as PDF in original colours and b/w for printing,
  • Recommendations for self-awareness and
  • Links to further media.

We always compile new learning content according to a module and thus ensure that you enjoy learning the topics that are really relevant to your path.

If you are acutely ill or a difficult life situation is challenging you, you may not be able to attend individual live dates. That is not a problem.

We record all live streams of the online modules 2-3 and 5-12 in full and you can repeat them as often as you like at any time. This means that you don't miss any content, but the present moment and the associated effect.

Attendance of at least 75% is required to register for the final examination. This corresponds to 90 of the 120 teaching hours that we conduct live.

If you are not aiming for a degree - which we would of course regret - you can decide for yourself how often you want to attend live and how much you learn in the Postview.

We recognise this immediately in our regular check-in meetings. Firstly, we look for the causes and simple solutions. If these are not sufficient, we redefine your learning goals - adapted to your capabilities.

Of course. For example, your personal diagnostics and therapy for self-awareness, which you can take advantage of in the EURASIAMED private practice with Ralph.

Another example is training sessions with real clients under the supervision of Ralph on site.

You can also add further coaching sessions with Corina on the topics of charisma and appearance as well as the structure and design of your practice rooms as required.

As an AYUMED® student you receive a 25% discount on all additional services mentioned. Just ask.

Of course, from day one - starting with our Welcome Meeting one week before the start of training.

We recommend the formation of learning groups and a lively exchange between our 12 training modules.

In the two practical training sessions on site (modules 1 and 4), we meet physically with all our senses among like-minded people.
